The Tandem Experience
Team Building and Activities
The Tandem Experience is a unique activity for Team-building, with previous clients including: Waitrose, The Environment Agency and Pitney Bowes. Riding a tandem is used as the focus to concentrate your team's energy, to build on relationships and to promote cooperation and trust.
We can run your event from our base in Ironbridge or we can bring the Tandem Experience to your chosen location. All that is required is a flat area approximately the size of 2 tennis courts.
Learning should be fun, once your team have familiarised themselves with the shared goal of riding a tandem (assisted by our experienced trainers), we use a variety of activities to help develop communication skills, building trust and confidence, even uncovering hidden strengths of participants.
Team members can experience piloting and co-piloting a tandem in equal measure while taking part in: steering and navigating exercises, Tandem limbo, egg & spoon race, moving water and other tandem team games finishing with a treasure hunt.
It takes two to tandem and riding a tandem is a microcosm of great team work.
Previous experience of riding a bicycle is preferable but inexperienced riders can be accommodated within a group and helped by our trainers and your own team.
Cycle helmets are provided and a list of suitable clothing and footwear to be worn will be given prior to attending. You can also raise your profile, interest and more money for charity by using our tandem hire and rider training facilities.
